New Santos Building lights the way in Adelaide |
In late 2007, LedFX completed the illumination of the very top level of the new Santos building in Adelaide.
The project consisted of producing a three sided cube with 48 large illuminated LedStar Luminaire panels approximately 1.1 metres by 2 metres. The LedStar Luminaire panels are edgelit using blue LEDs and have an acrylic face with a blue vinyl finish which is positioned in place using custom designed power coated extrusion in the Santos corporate colour. The entire lighting project is controlled by a custom designed computer program that enables all 48 panels to run in different chase patterns, flashing or fading if the client so desires.
A Santos requirement for this project was to use LED technology as this is the most energy efficient method of lighting the cube and has the added bonus of being very environmentally friendly. |

DicroLED™ MR16
The DicroLED™ MR16 is one of the newest products to be added to the Eco-LED™ lighting range from LedFX.The DicroLED™ MR16 is designed to replace all halogen MR16 globes that use an iron core transformer to provide general lighting around the home or in commercial applications. Each DicroLED™ MR16 has the same output as a 30-35W halogen light.
DicroLED™ MR16 LED lights have a long life, running 50,000 hours or more. That’s years of continuous use! As with all LED lights, they are environmentally friendly and contain no mercury or sodium. All LED light products run on a low voltage, with low to zero heat radiation and no UV emissions. They are also moisture and impact resistant.
